I am not familiar with a consignment sale. How is it different from a consignment shop?

Sales  are usually held only 2-3 times a year and last only a few days. Many are held in rental facilities, which is the main reason they are only held for a short period.

Do you also have a shop? If not, how often do you hold your sale?

We do not have a shop, but we have both a spring/summer and a fall/winter sale.

Who may shop your sale? Do you charge for admission?

You do not have to be a parent to shop! We, of course, love having moms and dads. But we encourage grandparents, relatives, and friends. Everyone is welcomed! If  you come with children, they must remain with you at all times.

There is no admission fee.

Do you need a ticket to shop?

No. On Thursday, our opening day, we do offer tickets beginning at 8:30 AM. These are not for admission, but they do reserve your place in line. One ticket is given for each person present. You can get your ticket, leave to get coffee, and return by 9:45 to be in line when our doors open at 10:00. As the line shortens and/or shoppers begin to complete their purchases and leave, we discontinue the tickets, and you can walk in. There are no tickets on the other sale days UNLESS we have an unusually long line.

Does your sale have items for both children and adults?

This is a children’s sale, so adult clothing is not included. We do accept clothing for sizes preemie – teen (junior girls and up to 32 waist for boys), baby gear and furniture, indoor and outdoor toys, DVD’s and hand-held electronic games, and so much more! We also have a selection of better brands/ designer women’s purses.

Do I bring my own shopping bag?

There is no need! We furnish large, sturdy shopping bags, and  you are welcome to fill as many as you want!

Are strollers allowed?

Especially the first few hours of  our opening day, the shopping floor can become very crowded. For the convenience of all shoppers and because of fire codes, no EMPTY strollers (to be used as shopping carts) are allowed in the sale.

We certainly understand that it may not be possible for you to attend the sale without your young children. If  you do need to bring them in a stroller, we welcome you! We ask that you bring only one purse or diaper bag, which may be checked upon your entering and/or exiting the sale.

Are there fitting rooms available?

Unfortunately, no. We encourage you to take your child’s measurements at home, draw around his/her foot for shoe sizes, and bring a list, along with a tape measure, for accurate sizing.

What form of payment do you accept?

Discover, Master Card, Visa, debit/check cards, and cash. If  you find that you need more cash, you can use the ATM at the Farm Fresh grocery store directly across the street from the sale.

Will you hold items if I need to leave the sale and return at a later time?

If there is an issue with a credit card, or if you need more cash, we will hold your items for one hour (If you have a special situation, talk to one of the workers).

Purchased items that may be too large for you to transport in your vehicle can be held. You will need to clear details for pick up with the sale administrator.

Do you offer delivery of large items purchased (cribs, large outdoor toys, etc)?

While we do not deliver, we do have workers ready to assist you in  disassembling of items and loading them into your vehicle.

Are all prices firm? Do you offer any discounts?

Each consignor sets his/her own prices, so each item purchased is a sale for a particular individual. We do not change any prices from what is shown on the tag. If a tag is missing from an item, we cannot sell it, because we do not know who to credit with the sale. As you shop, you will see both white and yellow tagged items. All items with YELLOW tags are discounted 25% on Friday and 50% on Saturday.

Do you offer returns/exchanges? What if a toy or other item I purchased does not work?

All toys and electronics that need them are required to have working batteries when they are brought for consignment, and each consignor is expected to be sure all parts are included in  an item. We carefully inspect all items, both clothing and non-clothing, before they are accepted into the sale. But we do miss some things! Please check your items before leaving the sale. If there is a problem, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible, and we will certainly work with you! Integrity is very important to us and is one of the reasons we have loyal return shoppers, year after year!

All clothing sales are final.

How do I know your items have not been recalled?

We are very careful to  check the www.cpsc.gov website to be sure that we are not including in our sale any item that is on their recall list.

What do you do with unsold items at the end of each sale?

Consignors opt to pick up their items at the end of the sale or donate them to a designated clothing ministry associated with a local church. They are not resold.

Do you require that I volunteer if I consign?

Volunteering is not mandatory, but strongly urged. Until you have been “in the trenches”, you cannot fully appreciate the scope of, or the operations necessary, to hold a successful sale. We are completely dependent on enough quality workers to hold each event. Once your registration on this site is confirmed, you will be able to access the list of days and times where help is needed during the sale.

May I volunteer if I do not consign?

Absolutely! We are always looking for more help! We offer early shopping privileges for hours volunteered. If you know definite days and/or times that you are available to help, please contact us.
